Maui, Hawaii - Day 2
Some High Resolution Pictures Now Available for the Island of Maui!!!!
Today, (this morning, 2:45 AM) we awoke and drove up 10,000 ft to the Mt. Haleakala National Park to watch the sunrise. It was a GREAT experience, but it was an early day!!!!! It was 74 degrees at the hotel when I left and it was only 52 degrees when I arrived at the mountain summit. The pictures will come next with very few captions
Here the sun is just breaking over the clouds.
Ahhh... Daybreak.
This is Laura and I... She really wants to leave as she is FREEZING!!!
After this we came back to the hotel to change and then headed out to Makena Beach. It is the largest undeveloped white sand beach on Maui.
We did some snorkeling as a drift from "Little Beach" to "Big Beach" (aka Makena Beach). We started out on the left side of the beach and snorkeled around the reef in front of the point that separates the 2 beaches.
Here is Laura chasing some fish.
This is a Spotted Trunkfish.
A Triggerfish
And a Unicorn fish.
After snorkeling, we headed back to the hotel to SLEEP!!!!!
